† The church is the community of forgiven and redeemed believers, gathered, led and empowered through the Spirit to be the living body of Christ.

† Worship, prayer, study and service are the disciplines of the church to fulfill its mission.

Edgcumbe Presbyterian Church was founded in 1954 in the Highland Park neighborhood of Saint Paul after a study the previous year showed a need for a church in the neighborhood. On April 8, 1954, the first worship service was held at Edgcumbe.

We are part of the larger denomination, Presbyterian Church (USA), and serve the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area, as well as the Synod of Lakes and Prairies.

We are a small, active community, and a very welcoming community. We welcome everyone from all walks of life, all ages, and all faith backgrounds. We have fun in our

worship services and you will find them to be a nice mix of both traditional and contemporary in the styles of music, messages and prayers. Here at Edgcumbe we practice “Open Communion,” meaning all are welcome to participate fully in the fellowship at the Lord’s Table.  You need only be hungry for the love of Jesus Christ.

Our worship service is at 10 am on Sundays, followed by fellowship time. Edgcumbe is blessed to be located on one of the most beautiful properties in Highland Park, and during the summer months we have monthly services in the woods behind the church, in our natural, Outdoor Chapel. Check our calendar for dates.

You can never really get a feel for a church strictly from a web page, so we warmly invite you to stop in on a Sunday and experience our Church for yourself. We hope to see you soon!
